Presidente Supermarket #52: Exceptional Quality and Variety in Pompano Beach

I love this place! From the cooked food to all of the different international food that’s available. I travel far to come.

Good variety of Latin products. Hot food bar and fresh bread.

This is definitely an alternative grocery store if you want better price on certain products and produce that you cannot find anywhere else. The place it’s fine in terms of cleanliness and organisation but fruit selection and fresh vegetable freshness is not great. Almost all of the cashier does not speak English, but if you have to go there to buy certain things, it is still not a bad place to go.

Nice prices and they had everything we were looking for!

This supermarket has very good prices and food/merchandise that you won't find at Publix/Winn Dixie. (Caribbean and South American selection) The meat selection is very big. They also have a section with different hot dishes options. The bad comment is that some of the employees do not speak English and there is a language barrier. There are a lot of ONLY Haitian/Creole speaking employees. Other than that, it is a very good option for you to get your groceries from.

Very good! We went for lunch with our kids. The waitress we had was Mary and she accommodated our kids very well! The food was SO yummy! Definitely recommend coming in!

Presidente Supermarket is an independent supermarket started 30 years ago by a Cuban American family and they still own it today. There are a number of locations from Miami to Orlando. I have noticed that they have been taking over former Winn Dixie's which is the case in this Pompano Beach location. They serve what you would typically expect to find in a grocery store with an emphasis on Latin items. There is a cafeteria serving prepared foods, bakery, deli, meat, seafood, frozen items, fresh fruit and vegetables, pantry staples, and household essentials. This store has been completely remodeled inside and everything is bright, clean, fresh, and new. Staff is all over the store waiting to assist. They have a lot of sales to coincide with the grand opening. I spotted several products that were unfamiliar to me but I am excited to try. I always head to Presidente when I need Latin items that can't be found in Publix. Last week it was cotija cheese for street tacos and Mexican street corn. This new store is much nicer than the Presidente in Margate. It will be worth the few extra minutes drive to come here. It is nice to see a formerly abandoned space revitalized and contributing to the community.

So happy they were open on Thanksgiving. It wasn't overly packed and they had almost everything available.
